Total  46110 bikers who were not wearing without helmets died in India in last two years. This was revealed by the Minister of State for Road Transport and Highways Mansukh L Mandaviya in a written reply to a question in Lok Sabha. He informed that as per the report of Ministry of Road Transport and Highways received from Police Department of all States and UTs, number of persons killed due to non-wearing of helmet were 10,135 and 35,975 respectively during the calendar year 2016 and 2017.
